Scorp: Like Ion suggested it is probably easiest for average Joe to get in touch with Revo as they have everything on hand there to join, painless as far as I know. They will be able to help you get a membership card in hand, as well as remotes and keys in a jiffy. Unfortunately I haven't really been in the loop on operations as I just renew with the treasurer direct but I don't foresee any major hickups just getttin the low down from the guys at the shop.

Joining fee is a once off as long as you stay a member and something around R400. Annual membership fee is R1000. Then it's just SAMAA membership if you're not already sorted in that department.

@ Peet , probably not but I have heard that the oke who manages the old evergreen lawn , had a few run ins and its always been the "plank" flyers that caused issues hence the generalization but if you know you’re in the clear no need to explain yourself ! Cheers

The only problem with the field across the rail way is the paragliders are the ruling party and as with "groen Goud" this combination does not work. But fear not I started hunting for a new and safe spot that we can make invitation only pilots. Will keep up to date ,but for now we will have to be patient.

I recall careless Saterday mornings.Old friends getting together, sharing the last weesk's trivialities, ups and downs, news, problems with the mail service, simulator achievements, small but yet so important changes to the heli's...It has been spoiled by one selfish A$$ H$le - probably now enjoying another drink at a new field - until he screws up another R3000 toy and gets shown the gate. No problem, he'll just find another place and do his thing again. The fact that we all went to a lot of trouble to ensure that we respect the landowner, his field and the privilage to use the place without being a nuisance to those who are not as enthusiastic as we are, is no concern to him!I wish I was there when you screwed it up for all of us - I would have loved to share a few thoughts with you! To all the regulars, don't stray or go away -we'll soon have another place to fly. This time on invatation only! Ahoooooooo!!!

Ahooooooo!!! (As in Wolf Howl)
