Salary Manager b. Office Assist c. Incentive Bonus d. Regional Assoc e. Profic sub committee f. Reim. Management Hi Aragon, Here goes: 2.a The post of "Salary General Manager" was established prior to 2007 (I do not have the exact date) and is a fulltime position due to the considerable hours involved that would prevent a volunteer from performing this role. It is paid to reimburse this full time commitment 2.b. The Office assistant post was initiated to assist the GM with general membership queries, calls, renewals etc. This position also requires a relatively full time individual to ensure that service levels are achievable 2.c. In the event that exceptional service performance is achieved, the Salaried General Manager could qualify for a annual performance bonus 2.d. The Regional Association structure was established to encourage more participation in SAMAA by non-competitive members, with initial costs directly related to the individual who travelled to each region/province to assist in setting up these structures, attend meetings & attempt to create interest/groundswell in this structure 2.e. The Proficiency sub-committee is responsible for ensuring that training guidelines are available for instructors, proficiency badges, etc. as well as direct costs related to instructor judges travelling to sites to test new instructors. 2.f. The Reimbursement management allocation is for direct out-of pockect & pre-approved costs for SAMAA officers such as travel to attend meetings outside of their geographical provinces. In terms of the above, the reasons for the above & costs involved are reviewed & reported on annually. Lionel | ||

Anyone else find the SAMAA site confusing? There's a PDF document called the Manual of Procedure, and then there's a section of the web site called the Manual of Procedure which contains many PDF documents. I've downloaded and read some of them but they haven't answered my questions. Is there any reason so much of the site is in PDF documents? Ever considered a Wiki? Hi, We are investigating a mechanism that will provide easily searchable, indexed access including splitting the "admin" from membership information categories to the "Manual of Procedures" or MOP. You suggestion to consider wiki is valid & I will pass this onto the team responsibile for this. In terms of the PDF format, the individual tasked with setting up this mammoth volume, researched similar approaches re RC in the UK, Canada, Australia & US - and at the time PDF was the mechanism generally applied & he was comfortable with the security offered .
